In this class, we spent 4 weeks creating our small level. The first week was a rough block out as well as creating a reference sheet to base our future designs on. The second week we improved our base mesh and then started creating rough materials to apply to our levels. The third week we began introducing lighting into our level while also working on our materials to create more detailed versions. The fourth week we spend polishing the first 3 weeks and then finishing up our post effects and adding any effect. Throughout this class, I learned many things. However, I think what I found to be most important was learning the more in-depth processes of unreal. While we have used the engine before this is the first time we have set up a level from start to finish while doing everything ourselves.
